You are coding a website in a text editor and every time you make some changes to a CSS file, you have to switch to the web browser, press the refresh /reload button to preview the changes. This can be time consuming. With CSSrefresh installed, all the included stylesheets are automatically refreshed directly after you save them.

CSSrefresh is a little JavaScript file that monitors the various CSS files included in your webpage. As soon as you save a CSS file, the changes are directly implemented, without your having to refresh your browser.

To implement CSSrefresh, you can either include the JavaScript file in your webpage using the SCRIPT tag or simply use the bookmarklet.

Please note that CSSrefresh uses a XMLHttpRequest to get the modification time of your CSS files and will therefore work only when the CSS files are hosted on a server and not your local computer.
