Google Site Search

google-site-search

Some websites do not have a search box and if they do, the search results aren’t always the most relevant one.

A good alternative here is Google Search. You can use the site: search operator to find the information you are looking for on that site. For instance, a query like “site:california.com oranges” will find all Oranges related pages on the California.com website.

The add-on Google Site Search saves you a trip to Google and you can directly search the current website using Google without leaving the page. Internally, it too add the site: search operator so you don’t have to.

Google Site Search uses the google.com domain by default for site search and there’s no option to switch to a country specific domain like google.co.in (India) or google.ie (Ireland).
