This is a jQuery plugin that makes your text headlines big, bold and responsive. You can resize the browser viewport and the headline size will adjust itself automatically.

Internally, the slabText script splits your text headlines into multiple rows and then resizes each row to fill the available horizontal space. The ideal number of characters to set on each row is calculated by dividing the available width by the pixel font-size.

The developer notes that headlines with lots of horizontal space to fill are more gracefully displayed across browsers. Also, if the text header contains multiple links, only the first hyperlink located is taken into account.
