Bing in Mandarin Chinese Means Sick

NYT says that in in Mandarin Chinese, Bing has many meanings:

The syllable romanized as bing holds many meanings, with the most common being ice, frozen and sick — hardly associations one would want users to make to a dynamic and nimble search engine that seeks to challenge the global industry leader.

Web users in China often ask the question, “Have you Googled it?” If we now replace the name Google with Bing, the question would sound like the common Chinese query, “Are you sick?”
