How Does Google Make Videos for YouTube

Sometime back, I asked Matt Cutts about the video camera they use for recording video for the Webmaster Central Channel on YouTube. He redirected me to Michael Wyszomierski who told me their video setup:

The camera is a Canon VIXIA HV30. We record in 30p, and upload to YouTube in H.264 at full 1920×1080.

Mike uses Final Cut Pro to edit videos and then uploads them straight to YouTube (without compression) where they are automatically recognized as HD. Watch their setup in video.
